I was born on January 30, 1984 in Ethiopia city of A /A . I was born in Amarha tribe, my family called Emeru Belay.
My mother name is Lache farise. She helped her children in god’s call made them to know God and to pray. We used to go for mass every Sunday with her.
In the school, I was going with my best friend who was my neighbor so every day she was with me to play, to go to school and to go every where.
At ten years of age, one Sunday on September 21 1996 I went to play with my friend at Don Bosco sisters house because on Saturday and Sunday was a programme for children to play different games, songs, pray, make handkerchiefs and the sisters were giving sweets to the children.
When we arrived there, we saw many children at the gate and one sister stood there to call the young one and she was giving small card to enter but the small ones could not enter, so when she saw me she said ‘’you are very small’’ you can come next year. At that moment I felt very sad and we went back home together with my friend. My friend as well was told the same since we wee of the same age.
Next day, I thought to go again, so I any permission I went to the oratory when I arrived there the same sister was at so that she could see me. I stood on the stone and I started to call her ‘’sister sister I’m here ….. I have been here for a long time and I tried to show that I was big like the rest, at that time she saw me and she told me get inside, at that moment I said in my heart ‘’thanks God! And I praise his name!!!! Because I was so happy.
When I entered I saw many young girls and all they were looking at me because of my clothes. I felt a shamed. My shoes were also too big I could not play with them, others children were playing and enjoyed. I said in my heart, today I will stay without playing.
At the end sisters gave us the small card for the enter. I took it and I went home happy. Next sandy, I went to oratory with my card, I arrived there with out fear I started to play with the others children because I was wearing my clothes and my shoes so I continued to go to the oratory every Saturday and Sunday, one day when I was making handkerchiefs one sister came and saw my handkerchief and she said oh!  Your handkerchief is nice and you do it well, please show me and I showed her, then she asked me. My name I told her “my name is Yodit” and I came to learn her name too.
The next day she came to greet me and she played with me and also the next Sunday she did the same. In this way she be came my friend in my life. I used to share with her my feeling and my desire.
As we want on with our friendship she became my spiritual mother. At the age of 16, I went in high school in grade 11. at that time I had started thinking a bout my family and how I could help them. So, I decided to go out of the country to work, before going there I want to tell the sisters about my decision. I think now is time to help an d I would like to say goodbye and thank you for every thing dear my friend, I will see you again when God give us a chance to tee each others.
I went to Lebanon for three years made a contract with one family that was very good to me. I was happy with them because they were a good Catholics, but after one year and nine month the mother of that family died and after one year the father also died. At the end I could not continue to work in that house but their daughter who had joined the sisters in one congregation told to me “Yodit now you know all what has happened to my family, you can not continue to work here but you could work in another place, would you like to go with me there”? I asked her about the place and she told me it was Syria I was so glad to go there.
After one month we went to Syria , the place we went was monastery. When I saw the place I thought how God wanted me to do some thing? I asked myself why I was there in his house, in my heart I said really I felt same thing is not normal and that place was so silence and the place was near the mountain. The place was very cold and I was praying every day with the sisters. Day by day my life was changing and after four month, I decided to be a sister, so I started to spe
